UBERCON Goodness!

9th Level Rocks Out at Ubercon and Meets Some Cool New Friends

The evil wizards at 9th Level Games just got back from a weekend of gaming and geeky goodness at UBERCON 8 in NJ. The show was a lot of fun, and we wanted to take a minute to make some shout-outs to the kids that really rocked!

GEEK LABEL (http://www.geeklabel.com/)

These dudes made our show with a) podcasting all the goofy fun of KOBOLDS ATE MY BABY! (check out their totally slamming geek podcast @ http://www.geeklabel.com/podcast.php; b) interviewing us for an upcoming Podcast (details to follow), c)having awesome Geek T-shirts to sell, d) totally being badass. CHECK THEM OUT. Now. Go to their site and give them money!

KEVIN SIEMBIEDA (http://www.palladiumbooks.com/)

Chris got a chance to sit on a panel about game design with multiverse meister Kevin Siembieda - and totally fanboy'd out. (Greg Costikyan of Paranoia and Star Wars D6 fame was there too - coolness!) The Evil Wizards have always been RIFTS fanboys (most of high school was spent saving the Multiverse) and were completely stoked that Kevin Siembieda thought they were funny!

Palladium Books, one of the first truly independent games companies, is going through a rough strecth right now - and they NEED YOUR HELP! Check out the site - and grab a book or two to help out some of the coolest gamers in the industry! HELP SAVE PALLADIUM NOW!

UBERCON RPG MISTRESS Alyssa and the folks at UBERCON 8 (http://www.ubercon.com/)

Thanks Alyssa - you rocked. Thanks to the Ubercon folks for inviting us as guests - we had a blast! Thanks to anybody that stopped to play KAMB with us (one game include a Kobold attempting to discover the Internets and later dying while trying to achieve Enlightenment).

RICH SIGFRIT a.k.a. Mr. Adventure (http://www.requiemoftheoutcast.com/roto/index.html)

Rich is this really cool pod-casting guru/voice actor/cool dude that we challenged to try pen and paper role-playing games. Check out his rad pod-casting site which includes the pulp-radio show Mr. Adventure!

LUKE CRANE, Master of the Burning Wheel (http://www.burningwheel.org/)

Luke Crane is always fun to run into at shows. He is the game designer that we want to be when we grow up - totally intense, totally fun, and a genius to boot! Luke was pimping his latest tour-de-force rpg BURNING EMPIRES which was a full-color hardcover with ridiculously cool art, an awesome future-imperfect setting, and the avant (read cool as shit) Burning Wheel RPG system). Check it out at http://www.burningempires.com/

SEAN SMITH, RPGA Crack Dealer

Sean was the reason that we came to this great show - and we'd just like to say we enjoyed bullying your RPGA players as "The Royal Kobold Court of Queen Grot! ALL HAIL QUEEN GROT! To all the Living Greyhawk folk that were good sports - huzzah!
